Run Forest Run
Ko`olani re-pipe “Run Forest Run”
17 units currently on the market, we have averaged about 12 or 13 over the past years but have now jumped to 17.
Is it because we are about to settle our arbitration? (or are we?)
Is because the re-pipe is a huge nightmare? (or is it)
The 2011 theme for the Ko’olani; “Run Forest Run”
Monday February 28 2011, 12:30 pm I am home sick in bed on the 32 floor and OMG it sounded like a jack hammer was pounding on the floor above me, it was the re-pipe plumbers cutting holes in the walls 13 floors above!
It didn’t last more then a few hours but living here during your unit re-pipe will suck!
What
to prepare for, originally my wife and I figured we would send our son
to grand-ma’s the week of our re-pipe, lock the cat in one bedroom
during the day come home at 6 pm feed the cat sleep and leave at 7:30 am
for the re-pipe. CHANGE in plans, the
noise is unbearable, inside the unit is like Grand Central Station, our
cat would hate the sawing noise, the kitchen sink cupboard must be
cleaned out for the week, bath room sink cabinets must be cleaned out
for the week, kitchen counter must be completely cleared for the week,
both bathroom counters must be cleared for the week, master bedroom walk
in closet must be cleared for the week, furniture and pictures must be
moved out of work area, think about it living among unorganized chaos,
not able to drink your water for 3 days and leaving from 7:30 am and not
returning till 6 pm, OH OH hold on if your unit is started on any day but a Mondayadd the weekend to that making it 7 days.
I
am not a Director (yet) but I advice each and every one of you to
consider this, “Run Forest Run” if you even think you are going to talk
your tenants into living through this be prepared for a battle, if I
where a landlord, I would be calling the Ala Moana Hotel for a good deal
right now, before spring break or summer vacation peak session or offer
a fair credit to your tenant to do with it as they please, the untold
story is; it is going to be ugly.
sageWater; this
in no way shape or form is blaming any of the delays, noise or chaos on
sageWater, in fact they are here doing what they agreed to do in the
best way the can, but it is still chaos.
Until further notice the Party room and Game room on the 4th floor will be opened to residents under going re-pipe, so they can get water, watch TV, and try to relax.
